History

It was in the year 1875 that Father Joseph Rooney an Irish Priest from Navan laid its foundation as an Army school for British Armed forces at The Mall Road, Agra. With the passing of time, students from the civilian background too were admitted to it. The first visionary to head it was Mr. Edward W Maylor for a period of 7 years. He so spearheaded the school with adequate manure & water that the seed sown 150 years ago has grown into an oak tree standing rock solid today also.

St. George’s College stands tall in a humongous campus and is accredited under the ICSE Board for grade 10 and under the ISC Board for Grade 12. Its motto ‘Press Onwards’ has been a source of inspiration for the wide spread Georgian fraternity that has bloomed and is blooming under its banner.
