ACADEMIC PLAN
Home Work:
1. Homework is an integral part of the learning process.
2. Homework will be given on a regular basis.
3. Suitable and achievable tasks will be set.
4. Homework will be related to work done in the class.
5. Homework is a reflection of student's understanding of the concept and instructions.
INTERNAL EXAMINATIONS/UNIT TESTS
The decisions of the teacher and the Principal are final and binding on parents and pupils.
1. Normally no-child will be allowed to miss part or whole of their examinations.
2. Non-payment of fee may debar a child from appearing in these examinations.
Defaulters of fee payment may be asked to withdraw the child.
3. Absence from the examination may result in the child not being promoted.
4. A child resorting to unfair means will be dealt with severely.
5. The Indian School Certificate Examination is taken at the end of Class XII.
6. The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education at the end of Class X.
7. The Principal reserves the right not to present any child for the ICSE or ISC Examination
if in his opinion, after preliminary examination, such a child is not likely to be successful.
8. It is compulsory for the student to appear in the Final Examination in order to be
eligible for promotion.
ASSESSMENTS AND APPRAISALS
NURSERY & KG
Regular assessment of student is done in the form of continuous assessment through class
work and homework.
1. Students will appear for 2 Unit Tests and 2 Terminal Exams.
2. English and Hindi will have an oral and a written examination. Rest of the subjects will
have written exams.
3. No Re-test/Re-exam will be conducted.
4. Minimum attendance required is 75%.
CLASS I TO V
Regular Assessment of students is done in the form of continuous assessment through class
work and homework.
1. Students will appear for 2 Unit Tests and 2 Terminal Exams.
2. English and Hindi will have an oral and a written examination. Rest of the subjects will
have written exams except Moral Science. Computer practicals will be held during exams.
3. Art and General Knowledge exam will only be conducted during Terminal Exams.
Sanskrit Exam for Class V will also be conducted during Terminal Exams.
4. No Re-test/Re-exam will be conducted.
5. Minimum attendance required is 75%.
CLASSES VI TO VIII
1. Students will appear for 2 Unit Tests and 2 Terminal Exams.
2. English and Hindi will have an oral and a written examination. Rest of the subjects will
have written exams. Computer practicals will be held during exams.
3. Art, General Knowledge and Sanskrit Exam will only be conducted during Terminal
Exams.
4. No Re-test/Re-exam will be conducted.
5. Minimum attendance required is 75%.
CLASSES IX to ХII
Regular Assessment of students is done in the form of continuous assessment through class
work, homework, internal assessment etc.
1. Students of Classes IX and XI will appear for 1 Unit Test and 2 Terminal Exams.
2. Students of Classes X and XII will appear for 1 Terminal Exam, Pre-Board Exam and Board Exam.
3. Practicals for Science and Computer will be conducted during exams.
4. Project Assessment will be done for all subjects.
5. No Re-test/Re-exam will be conducted.
6. Minimum attendance required is 75%.
7. Project work and science and computer practical files are required to be submitted by the
students of ICSE/ISC as per instructions and deadlines given by the subject teachers.
ATTENDANCE:
The attention of parents/guardians is drawn to the following extracts from the Regulations
for the Indian School Certificate Examinations:
Condition of Entry:
"Entry to the Indian School Certificate Examination/Indian Certificate of Secondary
Education Examination, in the case of candidates who are being entered for the first time, is
restricted to candidates with a minimum of 75% attendance of the working days during each
year of the two-year course at school(s) affiliated to the Council and registered for the Indian
School Certificate Examination/Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examination.
Minimum Attendance Requirement:
"Candidates whose attendance is below 75% of the working days are ordinarily not eligible
to sit for the examination."
Parents/Guardians are requested to ensure that their child's attendance at College is regular.
If it is not in conformity with the regulations quoted above, she/he runs the grave risk of not
being permitted to appear for the Final examination at the end of the year.
It is the responsibility of the parents/guardians to ensure that their wards attend classes
regularly. NO CHILD, whose attendance IS BELOW 75% OF THE WORKING DAYS in the academic year, will not be permitted to appear for EITHER THE HALF-YEARLY OR THE FINAL EXAMINATION.
